Leading soft drinks manufacturer Britvic and PepsiCo UK are kicking off summer early this year with the UK’s biggest live music giveaway. Launching on April 15th, Pepsi’s new music on-pack promotion will give away thousands of music festival tickets, as well as the chance for consumers to win £300. The promotional packs will be available for 10 weeks and the campaign will run on TV as Pepsi continues to drive sales for retailers.
The latest Pepsi on-pack will be testing consumers’ friendships, asking them to text their promotional can or bottle’s unique code to a dedicated number, with the option to text ‘mates’ to be in with a chance of winning four tickets to one of this summer’s hottest music festivals - or text ‘me’ for the chance to win £300 for themselves. Pepsi expects the latest promotion to drive over 1.5m entries throughout April, May and June.
The promotion will run across all Pepsi variants and formats; Pepsi Max, Diet Pepsi and regular Pepsi 330ml single and multipack cans, 500ml and 600ml on-the-go bottles, as well as the 2litre sharing pack. The on-pack will be supported with promotional activity including a national TV campaign running from early April until the end of May combined with outdoor, digital and radio advertising. The music promotion will also be supported in-store with stand out point-of-sale in order to create awareness and generate sales opportunities for retailers in preparation for summer.
Pepsi values mates and music
Kat Jones, Senior Brand Manager for Pepsi, at Britvic, commented:
“We want Pepsi drinkers to have the ultimate summer with their mates so we are giving them access to over 10 of the biggest music festivals in the UK. We are really excited about this latest promotion, as it brings together our consumers with their mates and music; two things that we know are really important to Pepsi drinkers.
“This promotion is sure to drive sales for retailers, just like our football promotion did last summer. Retailers should make sure they’re well-stocked up ahead of the launch of the promotion and particularly the TV advertising.”
