Britvic’s water brand, Drench, set up an Art Award to support new talent and help young artists break into the commercial sector. The competition received more than 500 entries and met with approval from the art industry. Alex Proud, owner of the gallery where the finalists’ work was to be displayed said: ‘Drench’s willingness to champion the new and not try to commercialise the entries has to be commended.’
The winning artist was James Roper and he received representation from a top art agency and all expenses paid for a year by Drench.
A judging panel picked 25 finalists to take part in a gallery exhibition. Darren Morris, senior brand manager, said: ‘We’re delighted with the success of the award. As well as the hundreds of entries.
Did you know that Britvic is focussing it’s innovation on more natural products such as Fruit Shoot 100% for children and Robinson’s Smooth Juice for families, both counting towards your five-a-day fruit & veg intake.
