A dedicated fund-raising team, based at Britvic’s site in Tamworth, has raised a staggering £6,668 for their nominated charity in the past two years. The charity committee passed on the proceeds of 2006 to St Giles Hospice, Whittington, in January — a cheque for £1,250.
Over the past year, the committee has organised numerous events. Treasurer, Pete Clarke, says: ‘The idea is to organise functions that are good for team building and raise money for St Giles, so it works out well for both parties. Thanks must go to Adrian Palmer, Mark Sandford, Jason Dobbs, Wendy Dart, Claire Dodd, Diane Ward, Val Carbutt, John Minihan and Dennis Coleman for all their efforts.’
Did you know that Britvic contributed £430k to its communities in 2007, and this year is supporting education in Cameroon via The Rainforest Foundation and our Really Wild Drinks Co., and is helping UNICEF raise money for their Emergency Relief fund.
