Balanced Diet & Lifestyle
The way to good health is all about balance and moderation. There are no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ foods - the secret is to eat a wide range of foods, including plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. This will help you maintain a diet with the right balance between carbohydrate, fat and protein, as well as the other essential vitamins and minerals.
The wheel of good health recommends that the largest component of your diet should be fruits and vegetables – at least five portions a day, followed by starchy and wholegrain foods and then smaller amounts of protein foods and dairy products. Fatty and sugary foods should make the smallest contribution.

You also need to drink plenty – at least six to eight glasses of drinks per day to maintain a good level of hydration.
And, of course, you have to balance the energy you consume through food and drink, with the amount you burn through exercise. But you don’t have to be super fit, just keep taking small but regular amounts of exercise.
